This book by the esteemed avant-garde author Richard Kostelanetz has a planned publication date of early 2003. The top half of each page will be able to turn independently of the bottom half, giving the book a split-book (also known as "dutch-door") format. As far as we know, no other publisher has created this kind of book before, with the exception of children's books with at most a couple dozen pages.
The reader can combine each of 270 opening sentences with 270 closing sentences, with the potential of creating nearly 73,000 minimal short fictions. The shifting structure of the book, which depends on the active participation of the reader, reflects the sentences which Kostelanetz has written about the nature of writing, and about love and eroticism.
